The Stint

Means: Connect SMALL Sections quickly

The Stint is a small, fishy fellow that runs on high speed from the get-go. Whether it happens in freshwater or saltwater doesn’t bother him. The main thing is that it sprays hard!

This shape was originally designed at the request of Mr. Überall from Fehmarn to surf in the slabby and sloppily-fast Baltic Sea waves with bam bam boom take-offs and snaps. After several design rounds, it finally became a hybrid shape that combines the best of the Curvey Fish and the QR Code, connecting them with a pop-out friendly wide tail to facilitate easy speed generation, turning and release in a variety of small waves and rapids.

Technically, this means a flat entry and exit rocker and a straight, fast outline sit on a relaxed single concave that splits into a double concave between the fins and then fades into a gentle Vee in the tail. Add to that a full rail and you’ve got the Small Wave Performer.

We surf the Stint as a step-down in summery beach breaks and as a performer on rapids of all kinds. The shape likes fins as a 2 + 1 trailer, thruster, and quad.

Kinky Twin

Twin Fin High Performance

Looking for a surfboard that combines a bit more volume and twin-fin sensations with the performance of a high-performance shortboard? Check the Kinky Twin!

The Kinky Twin is a twin-fin shape with a cheeky little secret – it craves action just like a high-performance shortboard and should be surfed that way too. So, position your back foot right between the fin block and then push, push, bam!

Technically speaking, there’s not much to say about the Kinky Twin… okay, that’s a big lie, but let’s keep it short. Slightly more volume and relatively low rocker make the board paddle-friendly. The double concave and deep Vee are all tuned with the “kink” behind the twin fin block set at 11” off the tail, allowing for zippy bottom turns while keeping the tail out of the way during snaps and lip line maneuvers. Nevertheless, the board provides enough hold and drive to perform well in carves and backhand maneuvers.

We ride the Kinky Twin in good waves with twin fins that have relatively low rake and a wide base. However, they shouldn’t be more keeled than half-keels. In exchange, the waves can be even better, and easy paddling could extend the session by an hour!

Mrs. Sandy Bottom

ENjoy Summer!

Roll from a towel. Enjoy some gentle waves and rapids. Set up for an air and play with the whitewater. This is a summer affair!

Mrs. Sandy Bottom is a go to whenever waves and rapids are lacking a bit in punch but shortboarding is still what you want. Generous board volume in a pretty relaxed rocker configuration allow for easy take offs and trims. The wide tail generates speed easily and offers some pop when needed. For the occasional bigger day or face, the quad option comes in handy and adds to the drive of the shape. “Sandy” will offer a nice mix of shredding a short board with considerable plane-speed. An allrounder for the less experienced surfer, a short groveler for skilled surfers.

Mrs. Sandy Bottom is a perfect shape to spend a summer in France or Portugal, all year in the Mediterranean, the Riverwave in Ebensee or the good old Eisbach. It will allow you to surf rapids and small waves in 1 shape 1 size – even for taller and heavier surfers.

Curvey Fish

FAst, Flat … and Vicious!

This shape is all about using the rail and watching spray fly. A lot of drive and hold in the center meet just the right amount of release in the tail.

Bring your rail game to smaller waves. This shape is straight forward carving with a lot of paddle power under the chest. A pretty simple combination of low entry and exit rockers with a straight forward single to vee bottom contour meet a slightly fuller rail allowing to extend your wraps and enjoy release when needed.

The Curvey Fish is a great all-year allrounder choice for European breaks. It will serve you well as a step-down for Indo-style destinations. It loves powerful rapids with some room to play rail games and will help you to flow through your carving combos. So given you want to add “easy take-offs” to a solid line on rail, this shape is choice for you to take off and step on.

The Mothership

Serious Fun.

If you need something to rely on, think Mothership. It will carry you through heavy seas. Strictly reserved for solid waves, this high volume thruster offers a lot of drive and big shot maneuver-qualities.

The original idea was to obtain a user-friendly, extremely easy to paddle and early to take off shape that would work well in bigger stuff. So more volume, lower rockers, control on the wall – without compromising agility and reactiveness. It took us some time to get our head around on how to achieve this. Eventually the idea was to simply blend classic single fin properties with modern day thruster ideas. Low rockers and untypically deep concaves reunite drive and agility. A shortboardish foiled down outline with an ultra-chunky pin tail provides control in the pocket and release off the top. The whole thing is definitely more than a shortboard. But maybe the last board you want to take out into critical surf before using a true shortboard. Who knows? You should try it for yourself. It is the Mothership, it will be there for you.

Take this board out when looking at solid to heavy forecasts. It loves reputed Euro breaks on a heavy day, Indonesia, the open Atlantic rock piles and Maldives when at their best – just make sure there is some punch in these waves.

The Snapper

Lukas’ HP Hybrid

Lukas Brunner is one of the most technically profound and stylish rapid surfers. He asked for an ocean inspired hybrid to go to the next level.

And so the Flying Fish got turned into the snapper. A shape to be pushed from the back foot straight into the lip. Quick snap at the top, quick redirect at the bottom. A single concave over moderate rockers, and some nice release found in the combination of a bit of Vee off the tail and a winger breaking up the rail line right over the fins. Add a rounded squash and you’ll get the pop Lukas is looking for when on rapids or in small waves. A bit more work required with the Snapper but surely a bunch more performance and aggressiveness achieved.

This shape is for skilled surfers and rapid surfers, preferably the light footed ones. It will be the choice when waves get good and rapids flow strongly. Well-tuned to a good Eisbach, powerful artificial rapids or a pushy little beach break asking for quick changes in direction.

G.RIP

Grip and Rip G!

This is a performance twinny. It offers grip and rip without compromising the skatey feel of a true twin surfboard. No 3rd fin needed, but a touch more volume to get you in early G.

The G.Rip is a twinny for experienced surfers, providing paddle comfort over volume and shortboard-esque agility by design. It works great in hip- to a little over head-high waves. The minimalist single concave in the middle part of the board creates a lot of speed. The short but clearly defined double to vee in the tail-area allows for quick rail-to-rail changes and helps moving along the wave face quickly. The rail of this shape is quite full but the classical twin fin configuration gives the board a lot of grip in the wave face. The winger in combination with a wide point in the middle of the board gives you a maximum of agility. So expect shortboard performance-characteristics paired with the skatey feeling of a true twin shape.

The G.Rip is a perfect allrounder for good surfers which works everywhere you Gs want to rip jaaaaa.

The FLYING FISH

FAST, Floaty & AGILE

The Flying Fish combines fish-design properties and shortboard performance in a super fast outline. Place your foot on the tail and let it fly.

The Flying Fish has the drive of a fish-style surfboard with added release over fins due to the wingers in the tail. It combines the advantages of a cruiser and a trick machine with instant drive and a lot of pop ready to go into tight turns, reverses and air reverses. The shape is wave catcher due to its width and added foam. The rail however is small wave performance orientated and allows for extended carves when surfed over center.

This shape represents our most versatile offer for rapid surfing and brings a lot of pop and release into chunky beach breaks and waves you would otherwise consider mushy shit. It works well as a twin, a 2 plus 1 (trailer) or a regular thruster.

Use this in shape at Northern shores of Europe and summerly breaks. Best practice model for Eisbach in Munich.
